THE CHALLENGE

In January 2020, Tesco announced that they were removing the plastic wrap from 51 branded and own brand multipack products in a bid to removing 67m pieces (50m tonnes) of plastic. The challenge: create the Tesco Billboard of Cans to support this announcement.

THE EXECUTION

We created and installed a 48 sheet size billboard outside one of Tesco’s high profile stores for the purpose of a PR stunt. The billboard was filled with over 2,000 baked beans tins to spell out the key message.

THE OUTCOME

The PR stunt was heavily featured in the mainstream press and supported the message for their commitment to removing unnecessary plastic within their retail environment.
