Thinking outside the box where brand experiences are concerned is invaluable if you want to increase your customer base and raise awareness of your goods and services.
According to Event Magazine, MoneySuperMarket has just held an event at Jenius Social in north London, inviting people to ride bikes on loan from Electric Pedals in order to generate enough power to cook an entire meal.
The price comparison site challenged That Hungry Chef Pratap Chahal to cook something in 5.2 minutes (the time it takes to switch energy tariffs, apparently!).
“At MoneySuperMarket we wanted to highlight that it takes just over five minutes to find a new energy supplier. So what we did was invite a number of influencers and journalists down to Jenius Social to pedal for just over five minutes for a meal cooked by That Hungry Chef, Pratap,” organic performance strategist with the company Georgina Gallop.
If you’re thinking of doing something similar this year, you need to have a solid brand experience plan in place. This should put the focus far less on what the customer can buy and a lot more on what they should be buying into.
Make sure you ask yourself what your goals are and what you can gain from this kind of marketing, as well as how you intend to measure your success.
