Thinking outside the box when it comes to brand experiences is one of the best ways of bringing in new customers and attracting people who might never have discovered your brand otherwise. This year, it’s going to be all about experiential marketing for companies so don’t ignore it or you’ll be missing a trick. Here are four of our favourite live brand experiences to inspire you in 2016.

Doc McStuffin

Get the kids on boards and the parents will have to follow. Never underestimate the value of pester power, something that the Disney Channel TV show producers of Doc McStuffin seem to know all too well. To promote the second series of the show, children were invited to come along to a version of Doc’s clinic at sites around the UK where they could spend ten minutes diagnosing what was wrong with character Big Ted. While there, they could play with merchandise, watch TV clips or do some colouring in.

Adidas & Derrick Rose

Pop-up shops are now ten a penny but you can still do it and make a very real impact. Take Adidas and Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose as an example. Basketball fans were challenged to win some free trainers if they could take them off a shelf – which happened to be ten feet up in the air. Check out the video to see what went on.

The Ikea sleepover

Who hasn’t dreamed of spending a night in a huge department store? Ikea tapped into this (after a Facebook follower got in touch to say they wanted to have a sleepover) by opening up its Essex store to 100 people so they could stay the night.

Mountain Warehouse spring lamb window

Last year, Mountain Warehouse set up what it claimed was the first livestock window display in the UK, with newborn lambs taking centre stage at its Fulham premises alongside lots of children, who were there to cuddle and bottle feed the animals.
